Thule Arcos Platform
The straightforward, lower-cost way to mount your Thule Arcos Box.
The Thule Arcos Platform is the dedicated hitch-mounted base that connects the Thule Arcos Box to your vehicle.
It fits both 1.25" and 2" hitch receivers and is designed to allow one person to attach the Arcos Box to the platform.
If you want a simple, secure Arcos installation without the additional tilt and folding functions of the premium Tilt Platform, this is the platform to choose.

The Thule Arcos Platform is not a standalone cargo carrier.
It is the mounting base for the separately sold Thule Arcos Box L. The platform connects to your vehicle's hitch receiver, then the cargo box mounts onto the platform.
If you're starting from scratch, you'll need both pieces to create a complete Arcos cargo system.

Unlike this standard platform, the Tilt Platform is receiver-specific, so choose the 1.25" or 2" version that matches your vehicle.

There isn't much mystery to the standard Arcos Platform, and that's actually its advantage.
It fits both common receiver sizes, securely supports the Arcos Box and costs less than the Tilt Platform. If your main goal is simply putting 400 litres of cargo behind the vehicle, this is the logical choice.
If you regularly need access to the rear hatch or want the platform to fold vertically when the box is removed, we'd spend more for the Tilt Platform. Otherwise, keep it simple and use this one.
