A Family Business with a Vision
Cap-it is proudly a family-run business, founded by Hank Funk in Abbotsford, BC. Today, his sons, Andrew Funk (CEO) and Mason Funk (President), lead Cap-it into the future, carrying forward the same values that have shaped our success.

2024Continued Growth
We expanded further with new dealership locations in Squamish, Duncan, and Burnaby, strengthening our footprint in Western Canada.
2022Celebrating 45 Years
With 45 years of locally owned success, Cap-it continued expanding its lineup of industry-leading truck caps, tonneau covers, overlanding gear, and accessories.
2006A Bold New Identity
We rebranded as Cap-it Genuine Truckware, introduced our red square logo, and refined our retail experience to offer a premium selection of truck accessories, adventure gear, and installation services.
1990The Cap-it Name is Born
To expand as a franchise, we rebranded to Cap-it—a name that reflects our core business. "If you have a truck, we’ll Cap-it." This marked the start of Canada’s first and largest truck accessory franchise.
1980Expanding the Offering
Recognizing the needs of truck owners, we introduced truck accessories and camping equipment, laying the foundation for the future.
1977The Early Years
The Cap-it story began when Hank Funk founded Rover Recreation in Abbotsford, BC, manufacturing truck caps and selling RV supplies.
