Shipping Policy
General Information
All orders are subject to product availability. If an item is out of stock when you place your order, weβll contact you to confirm the delay. Pre-orders will ship as soon as inventory becomes available, and youβll receive notice before the order is dispatched.
Delivery Locations
We currently ship to addresses within Canada only. Orders to P.O. Boxes are not supported.
Cap-it does not ship to the United States at this time due to current U.S. import policies. Under special circumstances, we may be able to ship select items to U.S. addresses, but the buyer is fully responsible for all import fees, duties, tariffs, and brokerage costs.
Alu-Cab Shipping Restriction
Due to exclusive distribution rights, Alu-Cab products are only available for delivery within Western Canada.
Orders placed outside this region may be cancelled and refunded at our discretion.
Shipping Costs
Orders over $200 CAD typically qualify for free shipping, except where:
- The item is classified as Oversized, or
- The delivery address is considered Remote or Rural
In these cases, we will provide a custom freight quote after checkout and before shipping. You will have the option to accept the freight charge or cancel your order for a full refund.
Oversized Products
Oversized items include (but are not limited to):
- Alu-Cab Khaya Campers
- Alu-Cab Canopy Campers
- Alu-Cab & SmartCap Canopies
- Thule Cargo Boxes
- RiGβd UltraSwing Tire Carriers
These products may require pickup at the nearest freight terminal. A door-to-door option may be available at an additional charge.
Warehouse Fulfilment Locations
To provide faster and more efficient national delivery, Cap-it ships online orders from two distribution centres:
- Western Distribution Centre: Langley Township, British Columbia
- Eastern Distribution Centre: Mississauga, Ontario
Orders ship from the location with available inventory that provides the fastest delivery timeline.
Select products stocked in our Eastern warehouse include (but are not limited to):
- CMX Bulldog Canopies
- Wild Land Roof Top Tents
- ICECO Portable Fridge Freezers
- Thule Foothill Roof Top Tents
If an item is out of stock in one warehouse, it may ship from the alternate location. In these cases, slightly longer transit times may apply. Our team will always communicate any major delivery adjustments prior to shipment.
Local Pickup at Distribution Centre
Free pickup is available from our Cap-it Distribution Centre in Langley Township, BC, including oversized items.
Pickup hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM β 4:00 PM (excluding holidays).
In-Store Pickup (Cap-it Retail Locations)
Shipping to Cap-it stores is not available. Each Cap-it location is independently owned and manages its own inventory.
If youβd prefer to pick up an item locally, please contact your nearest Cap-it dealer directly to confirm availability of the product youβre interested in.

Handling Time
Most orders are processed and shipped within 24 business hours (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays). Exceptions may apply for oversized or freight-only items.

Transit times exclude order handling time. Actual delivery may vary based on destination, carrier capacity, weather, and service interruptions.
Remote or Rural Deliveries
If your address is deemed rural by the carrier, weβll contact you before your order ships. You may:
- Approve additional freight charges, or
- Cancel the order for a full refund
Delivery Coordination
Signature, Depot Holds & Storage Fees
Some deliveries may require a signature or that someone be present at time of delivery. If the carrier is unable to complete delivery, re-delivery charges and storage fees (for depot holds) may apply. These fees are charged to Cap-it by the carrier and will be passed on to the customer when applicable.
Larger items may be held at a local depot or cross-dock facility, especially when shipped through smaller carriers. In these cases, the carrier may attempt to contact you prior to final delivery. Please ensure your contact information is correct and that you monitor your phone and email to avoid delays and storage costs.
Delivery Confirmation & Liability
Once a shipment is marked as delivered by the carrier, including confirmation via tracking scan, GPS verification, photo evidence, or signature record, the shipment is considered fulfilled.
Cap-it is not liable for packages that are lost or stolen after confirmed delivery.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that delivery locations are secure and that someone is available to receive the shipment where required.
Lost or Stolen Shipments in Transit
If a shipment is confirmed lost or stolen in transit prior to delivery, Cap-it will arrange a replacement order at no additional cost to the purchaser once the carrier investigation is complete.
For security purposes, all replacement shipments will be delivered using enhanced delivery controls. This may include shipment to the nearest carrier depot for secure pickup with signature required, ensuring the order is received directly by the purchaser.
Inspecting Your Shipment
If your order arrives damaged or with signs of mishandling, please inspect the contents immediately in the presence of the delivery driver. If damage is found, note the damage on the driverβs copy of the delivery notice before signing. Then contact us right away to report the issue.
Failure to document damage at time of delivery may affect claim eligibility.
Taxes
Sales tax is charged based on the province or territory of the delivery address.
