ULTRASWING® MEGA-FIT
MOVE THE SPARE.
OPEN THE BACK.
A heavy-duty swing-out spare-tire carrier for compatible full-size trucks, vans and SUVs. Carry a large spare while keeping your tailgate or rear doors accessible.
Choose your wheel plate and receiver size, confirm clearance, then build a complete system.
Follow these sections in order: 1. Check your hitch, 2. Choose your configuration, and 3. Explore accessories. The wheel-plate and hitch selectors, and their corresponding prices, are above this description.

STEP 1 · CONFIRM YOUR HITCH
Is Mega-Fit right for your vehicle?
Mega-Fit is built for compatible full-size pickups, vans and SUVs, including select F-150, RAM, Silverado, Tundra, Transit and Sprinter applications. Your receiver, bumper and rear-door clearance determine actual fitment.
Verify hitch engagement, rear-door swing, wheel bolt pattern, spare diameter, loaded weight and any aftermarket bumper or receiver modifications. Vehicle examples are not fitment guarantees.
ASK CAP-IT ABOUT MY FITMENT →STEP 2 · CHOOSE YOUR CONFIGURATION
Wheel plate first. Hitch size second.
The names below match the WHEEL PLATE dropdown above. Choose a plate using your wheel's exact bolt pattern, then select HITCH. Tap the + under each plate to see all its listed patterns.
5- and 6-lug patterns. The original RiG'd Multi-Fit plate, not a universal fit for every 5- or 6-lug wheel.
HITCH: 2″
+ See supported bolt patterns
5×4.5, 5×5, 5×5.5, 6×5.5, 5×100, 5×110, 5×120, 5×130, 5×150, 6×130, 6×135.
RiG'd designation: Multi-Fit. Confirm actual wheel fit and plate revision.
Select 5-, 6- and 8-lug patterns. RiG'd calls this the 8-Lug plate, but it's not limited to 8-lug wheels.
HITCH: 2″, 2.5″ or 3″
+ See supported bolt patterns
8×6.5, 8×170, 8×180, 6×5.5, 5×135, 5×160, 5×5, 5×5.5.
RiG'd designation: 8-Lug. Confirm actual wheel fit and plate revision.
For particular positive-offset wheel arrangements. This is a distinct plate geometry, not an alternative to A or B based solely on lug count.
HITCH: 2″
+ What fits Multi-L?
Fit depends on the specific wheel offset and mounting geometry. A verified bolt-pattern list for this plate is not available in this listing. Please confirm your wheel and vehicle with Cap-it before ordering.
Choose this when you want the Mega-Fit swing-out without spare-tire mounting hardware.
HITCH: 2″, 2.5″ or 3″
+ Is a spare tire mount included?
No. This option does not include a wheel plate. Do not select it if you need to mount your spare tire.
Some patterns overlap. For example, 6×135 and 5×150 are on Multi-Plate A's published list but not B's; 8×170 and 8×180 are on B's list but not A's. Match your exact bolt pattern and check clearance.
Manufacturer pattern lists describe the current published plates. Older Cap-it stock may have a different wheel-plate revision. For a specific bolt-pattern application, confirm the physical plate supplied, wheel offset, studs and fit with Cap-it before ordering.
The 2.5″ hitch configuration also accommodates 2″ receivers as specified by RiG'd. Confirm receiver and bumper measurements.
STEP 3 · COMPLETE YOUR SETUP
Build your UltraSwing system.
Choose the accessories that match your adventures. Each item below is sold separately from your Mega-Fit carrier unless the selected product specifies otherwise.
Add side-mounted gear storage to UltraSwing. Works alone or alongside a compatible UltraTable.
Carry a compatible Wavian or other supported fuel or water can. SideHack required; select the correct mount.
Attach compatible RotopaX containers to UltraSwing. Pack mount and container are separate.
Add a fold-down work surface for meals, preparation and trail stops.
Explore a larger camp-table option with more preparation space.
CARRYING BIKES BEHIND THE SPARE?
Check the hitch-extension setup first.
Clearing the spare tire typically requires a suitable hitch extension. Confirm the rack manufacturer's extension allowance, the wheel clearance and the UltraSwing's secondary-hitch load limit. Vertical bike racks are not compatible with UltraSwing.
WobNot is an adjustable 2-inch hitch extension, not a towing component. It is not for mounting an UltraSwing. Availability and fit must be checked separately.
Confirm each mounting bracket, container and accessory against the complete carrier and vehicle load ratings before purchase.
Technical details & purchase checks
Load limits and towing
Combined carrier load: 250 lb across the spare tire and mounted gear, subject to vehicle and receiver limits. Secondary hitch accessory tongue load: 150 lb maximum per RiG'd. These are different ratings.
RiG'd separately states an SAE J684 Class IV towing rating of up to 10,000 lb trailer / 1,000 lb tongue for the lower receiver. This towing figure must not be substituted for the 150 lb secondary accessory load limit. Always follow the lowest applicable vehicle, hitch, carrier, rack and towing-system rating; obtain a verified towing configuration before use.
What's included and what is separate?
Your selected wheel-plate and hitch combination determines the supplied configuration. The 5/8 in hitch pin is not included. Bikes, bike racks, hitch extensions, tables, fuel and water storage, and accessory mounts are separate.
RiG'd currently lists a licence-plate light kit as included with new UltraSwing purchases. For earlier-stock packages, Cap-it should confirm the actual included components before dispatch. The replacement light kit is listed separately.
Dimensions, construction and warranty
Manufacturer-reported weight: approximately 70 lb (31.8 kg) with wheel plate. Spare-tire diameter: up to 40 in (subject to wheel weight, mounting plate and full system clearance). Built-in anti-wobble hitch connection, adjustable/removable spare mount, swing-out design and UltraLatch.
Steel construction with zinc-rich primer and black powder-coat finish. Made in the USA and backed by RiG'd's limited lifetime Ramble for Life warranty, subject to manufacturer terms.
Common fitment questions
Need a smaller carrier? For standard-length mid-size receivers, compare Multi-Fit.
Which configuration should I choose? Select the matching wheel plate first, then receiver size. The 5/6-lug and Multi-L options are offered only with a 2-inch hitch. No Wheel Plate does not include a ready-to-mount spare-tire plate.
Rivian, Tesla or recessed receiver? The Multi-Fit L is a separate long-insertion carrier. A positive-offset wheel plate alone does not solve the wrong hitch-insertion geometry.
