Remove the Canopy When You Need an Open Bed
After its initial assembly and installation, SmartCap states that the canopy can be removed from or reinstalled on the truck in approximately 15 minutes. Use adequate help or suitable lifting equipment when handling the assembled canopy.

IMPORTANT FITMENT REQUIREMENT
2022+ Toyota Tundra Owners
Bed stiffeners, commonly referred to as J-braces, are required when installing a SmartCap or other bed-rail-mounted accessory on a 2022 or newer Toyota Tundra.
Failure to install appropriate bed stiffeners may affect the structural integrity of the truck bed and can contribute to damage involving the bed rails, SmartCap mounting system or rear flange welds.
Damage resulting from installation without the required bed stiffeners is not covered by the SmartCap three-year warranty.
Cap-it recommends the CBI Bed Channel Stiffeners for 2022+ Toyota Tundra. Contact a Cap-it location before ordering if you are unsure whether your truck is properly equipped.
