Carry your spare tire and keep your rear hatch accessible, with the freedom to mount a compatible bike rack behind it. This is the complete RiG’d RambleSwing Pro Spare Tire Carrier, supplied as one factory-defined system rather than a set of separately selected parts.
- RambleSwing Pro swing arm in your selected hitch fit
- Off-Set HitchingPost to position the spare and provide additional clearance
- HitchingPost Tire Mount for the supported wheel bolt patterns
Your spare tire and wheel, bike rack, camp tables and additional accessories are not included. For a swing arm without spare-tire hardware, shop RambleSwing Pro alone.
Which kit fits your vehicle?
Choose the receiver opening and insertion length that suit your vehicle. The correct hitch fit depends on the hitch-pin position, bumper projection and available rear-door clearance, not just the year and model.
| Variant to select | Factory SKU | Typical application |
|---|---|---|
| 2" Mid-Fit | 39-028L | Standard-length 2" receivers |
| 2.5" Mid-Fit | 39-028L251 | Larger truck hitch receivers |
| 3" Mid-Fit | 39-028L31 | 3" heavy-duty receivers |
| 2" Short-Fit | 39-018L | Shorter hitch insertion geometry |
| 2" Long-Fit | 39-048L | Recessed receivers on select vehicles |
Before ordering: check receiver size, hitch insertion distance, bumper/tailgate clearance, wheel bolt pattern and wheel-plus-tire weight. A spare tire larger than the factory clearance recommendation, an unusual wheel offset or an aftermarket bumper may require additional verification.
How much tire can it carry?
RiG’d designed the Off-Set HitchingPost to clear tires up to 37" with its dedicated tire mount. The tire mount itself lists a capacity of up to 150 lb; however, RiG’d also specifies a 120 lb load rating for the Off-Set HitchingPost. The RambleSwing Pro swing arm has a separate 350 lb overall load limit.
Use the lowest applicable rating. Do not assume that the 150 lb mount rating permits a 150 lb spare on the complete Off-Set HitchingPost setup. Tire weight, wheel offset, any bike rack and accessories, and the vehicle hitch capacity must all be checked together.
See how a complete setup works
The spare tire moves with the swing arm so you can access the rear of the vehicle. RambleSwing Pro's FlipFlop design lets you choose left or right opening, with locked-open positions at 90° and 120°. A bike rack can be used behind the system when its hitch connection, loads and clearances are confirmed.
The carrier is not rated for trailer towing. If you want a spare-tire-first carrier with a tow-rated lower receiver, compare UltraSwing.

Add the Off-Set HitchingPost and HitchingPost Tire Mount. There is also a centred HitchingPost option intended for different clearances and accessory arrangements. Confirm the rating for the exact post and installed combination.
