PRINSU ROOF RACKS
Prinsu Roof Rack | Toyota 4Runner 2025+
Choose Prinsu Pro for maximum capability, or Prinsu Original for the proven platform that made the brand famous.
The Prinsu Roof Rack for the 2025+ Toyota 4Runner (6th Generation) transforms the factory roof into a low-profile, modular platform for rooftop tents, recovery gear, bikes, skis, kayaks, cargo, awnings, lighting and overland equipment.
Both rack systems are purpose-built for the 6th Gen 4Runner and follow the same Prinsu philosophy: lightweight aluminium construction, a clean vehicle-specific fit, modular crossbars and the freedom to configure the rack around the way you actually use your 4Runner.
Choose your Rack Series, then select a Standard wind deflector or Light Bar Cutout.
CHOOSE YOUR PRINSU
Pro or Original? Both Are Real Prinsu.
The choice isn't between a good rack and a bad rack. It's about how much capability you need from the platform.
Prinsu Pro adds greater crossbar strength, increased rigidity, more integrated mounting points and higher published load capacity. Prinsu Original keeps the lightweight, modular architecture that made Prinsu one of the most recognizable roof-rack systems in the adventure market.
Prinsu Pro
More strength, more mounting flexibility and increased published capacity.
- Crossbars rated by Prinsu as 44% stronger
- 6 integrated drop-in points per crossbar
- Two-part side-rail design for increased rigidity
- Corrosion-resistant stainless steel hardware
- Recessed bolt-on mounting feet
- 700 lb dynamic published rack rating
- 1,200 lb static published rack rating
Best for: rooftop tents, heavier overland builds, recovery equipment, frequent rough-road travel, extensive accessory mounting and customers who want maximum capability from their 4Runner roof platform.
Prinsu Original
Lightweight, modular and built around the design philosophy that made Prinsu famous.
- High-quality aluminium construction
- Black powder-coated finish
- Custom modular crossbars
- Integrated drop points for accessory mounting
- Low-profile vehicle-specific design
- Noise-reducing trim included
- Fully modular architecture
Best for: daily-driven 4Runners carrying bikes, skis, kayaks, cargo, camping equipment and other adventure gear where value, low weight and modularity matter.
THE REAL DECISION
You Don't Automatically Need the Pro.
The Original Prinsu Rack remains a very capable platform. If your 4Runner is carrying bikes, skis, kayaks, cargo boxes or normal recreational equipment, the Original may be all the rack you need.
Move to Prinsu Pro when the roof rack becomes a more significant part of the build, particularly with rooftop tents, heavier accessory loads, recovery equipment, frequent rough-road travel or when the additional mounting flexibility and structural rigidity have real value to you.
SECOND CHOICE
Standard or Light Bar Cutout?
CLEANEST CONFIGURATION
Standard
Choose the standard wind deflector when you are not planning to integrate a forward-facing light bar into the front of the rack.
LIGHT BAR READY
Light Bar Cutout
The cutout deflector creates space for a compatible forward-facing LED light bar integrated into the front of the rack.
Planning lighting later? Choosing the cutout now keeps that option open without changing your rack series.
FULLY MODULAR
Build the Rack Around Your 4Runner.
A Prinsu rack isn't one fixed cargo solution. Its modular crossbar system creates a platform that can change as your 4Runner and your adventures do.
PRINSU PRO
Engineered Beyond the Original.
The difference between Original and Pro isn't just visible on a specification sheet. The Pro architecture changes the crossbars, side rails, mounting points and hardware to create a stronger, more configurable roof-rack platform.
6 Drop-In Points Per Crossbar
Six integrated drop-in locations give you more freedom to position gear and accessories without constantly sliding hardware in from the end of the bar.
Stainless Steel Hardware
Corrosion-resistant stainless hardware supports long-term durability through Canadian weather, road spray and year-round use.
Recessed Mounting Feet
The Pro mounting system is recessed into the side-rail architecture to maintain a cleaner and more integrated overall profile.
CAPACITY
Prinsu Pro Published Rack Load Ratings
Remember: the rack's published capacity does not override Toyota's vehicle or roof-load limits. The vehicle, rack configuration, accessories and cargo must all be considered when determining a safe load.
EXPAND THE SYSTEM
Take Your 4Runner Build Beyond the Roof.
The 6th Gen 4Runner is supported by a growing Prinsu accessory ecosystem, including vehicle-specific side accessory panels designed to integrate with the corresponding Prinsu roof rack.
These panels create additional mounting space along the rear side windows for recovery gear, lighting, communication equipment, tools and other trail essentials without consuming valuable roof-rack space.
Build it in stages. Start with the roof rack, then expand the system as the way you use your 4Runner evolves.

PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION
Buy the Rack. Have Cap-it Install It.
The 2025+ 4Runner Prinsu rack uses the vehicle's factory roof mounting locations, allowing installation without drilling into the roof.
Even with a bolt-on system, proper installation matters. Factory trim, mounting hardware, sealing, rack alignment and accessory placement all contribute to a clean, reliable finished build.
Participating Cap-it locations can confirm fitment, install your Prinsu rack and help complete the system with rooftop tents, recovery gear, bikes, kayaks, cargo, awnings, lighting and other accessories.
Frequently Asked Questions
Prinsu Pro adds stronger crossbars, six integrated drop-in mounting points per crossbar, increased side-rail rigidity, stainless hardware and higher published rack capacity. The Original remains Prinsu's proven lightweight, modular roof-rack platform.
No. The Prinsu roof-rack systems for the 2025+ 6th Gen Toyota 4Runner use factory mounting locations for a bolt-on, no-drill installation.
The front wind deflector includes an opening designed to accommodate a compatible forward-facing LED light bar. Select Standard if you do not plan to integrate a light bar into the front of the rack.
Prinsu racks are commonly used as rooftop-tent platforms. The complete installation must remain within Toyota's vehicle limits and the requirements of the tent, rack configuration and mounting hardware.
For a build where the rooftop tent and other heavier equipment make the rack a major structural part of the setup, we would generally favour the Prinsu Pro for its stronger crossbars, increased rigidity and higher published rack capacity.
Yes. Modularity is one of the core advantages of the Prinsu platform. Crossbars and mounting points allow the rack to change as your equipment and adventures change, and vehicle-specific accessory panels provide additional mounting opportunities on the 6th Gen 4Runner.
Professional installation is available through participating Cap-it locations. Contact your nearest store for fitment confirmation and installation scheduling.
THE CAP-IT TAKE
The 4Runner and Prinsu Just Make Sense Together.
The Toyota 4Runner is exactly the type of vehicle the Prinsu platform was made for. It might spend Monday through Friday commuting, then carry bikes, skis, camping equipment, recovery gear or a rooftop tent when the weekend arrives.
We wouldn't automatically put every 4Runner owner into the Prinsu Pro. If you're carrying normal recreational equipment and want a lightweight, low-profile modular rack, the Prinsu Original remains an excellent choice.
If you're building the 4Runner into a more serious overland platform, particularly with a rooftop tent, heavier equipment, recovery gear, frequent rough-road travel or extensive accessory mounting, we'd choose the Prinsu Pro.
Build the rack for what you're actually going to do with the 4Runner.
