Important Magnetic-Mounting Compatibility
The PB250 mounts directly to compatible steel-bodied ICECO refrigerators. The magnetic system is especially convenient with many VL and VL PRO metal-shell models.
Aluminum-bodied models, including ICECO APL-series fridges, do not provide a magnetic mounting surface. The PB250 can still power a compatible aluminum fridge, but it must be positioned separately or attached using an appropriate compatible mounting panel.
Always confirm that the battery is securely positioned and that its cable cannot be pinched, pulled or placed against hot components.

Understanding Fridge Runtime
There is no single guaranteed fridge-runtime figure. Compressor fridges cycle on and off rather than drawing their maximum power continuously, and actual runtime changes with the fridge model, temperature setting, ambient heat, food load, ventilation, lid openings and whether the fridge has been pre-cooled.
For the longest practical runtime, pre-cool the fridge from AC power, load already-chilled food and drinks, use a fitted protective cover, keep the fridge shaded and provide adequate ventilation around the compressor area.

Will the PB250 mount directly to every ICECO fridge?
No. It mounts magnetically to compatible steel-bodied fridges. Aluminum APL-series models do not provide a magnetic mounting surface and require the battery to be positioned separately or used with a suitable compatible mounting panel.
Can it still power an aluminum ICECO fridge?
Yes, provided the fridge is electrically compatible. Magnetic attachment and electrical compatibility are separate considerations.
Can I use the PB250 while the vehicle is turned off?
Yes. This is one of its primary benefits. It provides a separate energy source so a compatible fridge does not need to continue drawing from the vehicle’s starting battery while parked.
How long will it run my fridge?
Runtime depends on the refrigerator model, temperature setting, outside temperature, ventilation, insulation, food load and compressor cycling. Actual results will vary.
Can I recharge it with solar?
Yes. Use a compatible solar panel that falls within the PB250’s 12V to 30V DC input range. The battery accepts up to 100W of charging input.
Why pair it with a 120W solar panel if the input is limited to 100W?
Solar panels rarely produce their full rated output continuously under real outdoor conditions. The additional panel capacity provides useful overhead during less-than-perfect sunlight, while the PB250 regulates the power it accepts.
Can it power a laptop or other electronics?
It can power or charge compatible equipment through its available outputs, provided the device remains within the PB250’s output limits. ICECO does not recommend using it with equipment requiring more than 100W.
Can the battery and solar panel power the fridge indefinitely?
Not automatically. Available solar energy must be sufficient to replace the power consumed by the fridge and other connected devices. Weather, shade, season, panel positioning and battery state all affect the energy balance.
