The side rails make a bigger difference to the look of a tonneau cover than you might think. X-Type uses the 15-degree PRO X15-style rail system to bring the cover closer to the top of the truck bed, creating the extra-low-profile, nearly flush appearance that distinguishes it from a conventional Lo Pro installation.

Is X-Type a TruXedo cover or a Cap-it cover?

X-Type is a Cap-it-branded, Cap-it-exclusive tonneau cover manufactured by TruXedo. It combines the Lo Pro's leather-grain vinyl cover material with the PRO X15 extra-low-profile rail design.

How is the low-profile design different?

The 15-degree, extra-low-profile rails bring the cover closer to the top of the bed sides for a cleaner, nearly flush look. X-Type keeps the leather-grain vinyl finish that customers know from the Lo Pro.

Will I still have access to the full truck bed?

Yes. Roll the soft cover toward the cab for regular cargo access. When you need the full open bed, the quick-release system lets you remove the cover assembly without tools.

Is the cover completely waterproof?

X-Type helps protect your truck bed from rain and road debris, but no soft tonneau cover should be considered completely watertight. Factory tailgate and bed gaps can still allow moisture or dust inside.

Can Cap-it install the X-Type for me?

Professional installation may be available separately through participating Cap-it locations. Clearance purchases are online only and prices exclude installation. Find your nearest Cap-it location.
