THE NEXT GENERATION OF ARB ONBOARD AIR

ARB 12V Brushless Twin Onboard Air Compressor

More air. Smarter control. The evolution of ARB's legendary Twin Compressor.

The ARB CKBLTA12 Brushless Twin Compressor takes one of the most recognized onboard air systems in off-road travel and substantially raises its performance.

Two brushless motors, active cooling, electronic speed control and intelligent system monitoring combine to produce an impressive 9.18 CFM of free air flow, approximately 50% more output than ARB's previous market-leading brushed compressor.

The result is simple where it matters most: less time airing up and more time driving.

WHY BRUSHLESS?

This Is More Than a Motor Change

ARB's original Twin Compressor earned its reputation as a serious onboard air system. The new Brushless Twin doesn't abandon that formula, it brings a new generation of motor control and electronics to it.

Electronic speed control continually manages compressor operation across changing pressure and ambient temperatures. Dedicated cooling fans actively manage each motor and compressor assembly, while onboard electronics monitor operating conditions and provide live status reporting.

And because the brushless system eliminates the need for conventional external relays, the electrical installation is cleaner too.

ARB Twin vs. ARB Brushless Twin

The original ARB Twin remains a proven compressor. The Brushless Twin is about taking that established platform to another level of output, control and onboard intelligence.

50% MORE AIR OUTPUT

Four Tires. Less Waiting.

Airing down makes a dramatic difference off-road. Airing four tires back up before hitting the highway is the part nobody looks forward to.

With up to 9.18 CFM at 0 PSI and 6.20 CFM at 29 PSI, the Brushless Twin moves substantially more air than ARB's previous Twin Compressor.

That extra output becomes especially meaningful with larger-volume all-terrain and mud-terrain tires, or when several vehicles need air at the end of the trail.

Smarter Air Management

Electronic Speed Control

The compressor electronically manages motor speed to maintain optimum operation across changing pressure and ambient temperature conditions.

Active Cooling

Each motor and compressor assembly incorporates its own cooling fan to support sustained performance and longevity.

Smart Start

The two motors start sequentially rather than simultaneously, helping reduce the electrical power spike associated with starting a twin-motor compressor.

Live Diagnostics

Audio and visual status reporting provides feedback from the compressor instead of leaving you guessing when operating conditions change.

Voltage & Overload Protection

Integrated electronics protect the compressor and power supply against voltage spikes, drops, fluctuations, overcurrent and motor stalls.

Continuous Monitoring

The compressor continually monitors operating conditions and can adjust for factors including temperature and variations in the vehicle charging system.

BUILT FOR ONBOARD AIR

Install It Once. Have Air Whenever You Need It.

The CKBLTA12 is designed as a permanent onboard compressor, keeping serious compressed-air capability with the vehicle instead of taking up cargo space as a portable system.

Cam-lock quick-release mounts simplify removal of the compressor when required, while the brushless architecture eliminates conventional compressor relays from the installation.

It is also compatible with ARB's established range of air accessories, hose kits and ARB Air Lockers, making the Brushless Twin a natural foundation for a complete ARB onboard air system.

One Compressor. A Lot of Jobs.

Tire Inflation

Air up quickly after running reduced tire pressures off-road.

Large Tires

High air volume makes the Twin particularly attractive for larger 4x4 tires.

ARB Air Lockers

Compatible with ARB Air Locker systems when configured with the appropriate components.

Overland Travel

Permanent onboard air means one less piece of recovery equipment to pack.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the advantage of the ARB Brushless Twin Compressor?

The biggest measurable advantage is air output. ARB rates the Brushless Twin at 9.18 CFM at 0 PSI and states that its Brushless compressors provide approximately 50% more output than its previous market-leading brushed compressors. It also adds electronic speed control, active cooling, system monitoring and integrated protection.

How does it compare with the original ARB Twin Compressor?

The ARB CKMTA12 Twin Compressor remains a proven 100% duty-cycle onboard compressor. The new CKBLTA12 Brushless Twin increases free air flow from 6.16 CFM to 9.18 CFM while adding brushless motors, electronic speed control, Smart Start, live status reporting and IP67 motor and compressor protection.

Does the ARB Brushless Twin have a 100% duty cycle?

Yes. ARB rates the onboard CKBLTA12 Brushless Twin at a 100% duty cycle.

Can it operate ARB Air Lockers?

Yes. The Brushless Twin is compatible with ARB Air Lockers when installed with the appropriate ARB air-system components.

Can I use my existing ARB air accessories?

ARB states that its Brushless compressors are compatible with its existing range of air accessories and hose kits, making it easier to upgrade an existing ARB air system.

Why does the Brushless Twin use Smart Start?

Instead of powering both compressor motors on simultaneously, Smart Start staggers their start-up. This reduces the initial electrical power spike and helps the twin compressor start on vehicles with smaller charging systems.

Is this the portable ARB Brushless Twin?

No. The CKBLTA12 is the 12V onboard version, designed for installation in the vehicle. ARB also manufactures a separate portable Brushless Twin compressor.

THE CAP-IT TAKE

The ARB Twin Was Already Good. This Is a Real Upgrade.

ARB didn't need to prove that it could build an onboard compressor. The original Twin has been doing that job on 4x4s and overland vehicles for years.

What makes the Brushless Twin interesting is that ARB has delivered a meaningful performance increase while adding a much smarter control system around it.

9.18 CFM, 100% duty cycle, active cooling, Smart Start and onboard diagnostics make the CKBLTA12 the ARB compressor we'd choose for a serious onboard air installation where inflation speed matters.
