ALU-CAB HERCULES | LAND CRUISER ROOF CONVERSION
Turn Your Troopy Into a Camper.
The Toyota Land Cruiser Troopy was built to go almost anywhere. The Alu-Cab Hercules transforms it into a place you can live when you get there. This integrated aluminium roof conversion creates standing room inside the vehicle and a full-length sleeping area for two while keeping the character and capability of the Land Cruiser intact.
The Hercules Difference
The Troopy Becomes the Camper.
A rooftop tent gives you a bed above the vehicle. Hercules goes further. The roof conversion integrates sleeping and living space directly into the Land Cruiser 75 or 78 Series Troopy.
Raise the roof and lift the sleeping platform to open the interior vertically. You can stand inside the vehicle, organize equipment, change clothes, cook around a properly planned interior and move directly between the living area and bed.
Lower the sleeping platform when it is time to sleep. One vehicle, two interior modes.

Full-Length Comfort
A Proper Bed Above the Living Space.
Hercules provides a two-person sleeping area measuring 2400 mm long x 1160 mm wide x 70 mm thick (approximately 7 ft 10 1/2 in x 3 ft 9 11/16 in x 2 3/4 in).
The elevated sleeping area leaves the Troopy interior available for storage, cabinetry and daily camp life rather than forcing the bed to occupy the main living space.

Integrated by Design
A Camper at Camp. A Land Cruiser on the Move.
Closed, Hercules follows the Troopy's roofline closely and adds approximately 140 mm (5 1/2 in) to the original vehicle height. Open it at camp and the same roof becomes a substantial sleeping and standing-height living system.

Built for the 75 / 78 Troopy
Not a Tent Bolted Onto a Land Cruiser.
Hercules is engineered specifically around Toyota Land Cruiser 75 and 78 Series Troopy platforms, Gen 1 and Gen 2. The conversion uses aluminium extrusions and laser-cut, bent components with a pressed roof profile designed for rigidity.
Roof Cargo Capability
The Roof Still Works.
Integrated cargo tracks make it possible to add compatible load bars and selected expedition equipment above the Hercules. That gives the Troopy room for solar, recovery equipment and other properly mounted gear without abandoning the roof as useful carrying space.

Built for the Long Way Around
The Kind of Camper the Troopy Deserves.
The Land Cruiser Troopy earned its reputation far from pavement. Hercules is designed around the same idea: keep the vehicle simple, capable and useful while adding the sleeping and living space required for longer travel.
You are not turning the Land Cruiser into a conventional motorhome. You are giving an expedition vehicle a better way to live at camp.

Alu-Cab's Hercules lifestyle film shows the conversion doing what it was designed to do: travel as part of the Land Cruiser, open quickly at camp and turn the Troopy into a connected sleeping and living system.

Imported Troopy? Talk to Cap-it.
Land Cruiser 75 and 78 Series Troop Carriers are uncommon in Canada because they were not widely offered here as new vehicles. But imported vehicles do exist, and Hercules remains part of the Alu-Cab roof-conversion range available through Cap-it in Canada.
If you own an imported Troopy, contact us with the vehicle year, model and photographs. We can review the application, confirm compatibility and discuss availability, colour, accessories and installation requirements before ordering.
Professional Installation Required
This Is a Roof Conversion, Not a Bolt-On Accessory.
Hercules fundamentally changes the Troopy roof system. Correct vehicle preparation, structural fitment, alignment, sealing, wiring and final adjustment are critical to the finished conversion.
Vehicle condition, previous roof repairs, body damage, rust and earlier modifications should be reviewed before installation is scheduled.
Cap-it can help review the vehicle, confirm the appropriate Hercules application, plan compatible accessories and coordinate the conversion as a complete build.

Care & Maintenance
Built to Travel. Maintain It Like Expedition Equipment.
Allow wet canvas to dry thoroughly after rain, heavy condensation or washing. During extended storage, periodically open and air the conversion and inspect the mattress, fabric, seals, hinges, latches and mounting hardware.
Keep roof cargo properly secured, check load-bar and accessory fasteners regularly, and confirm the Hercules is fully closed and latched before driving.
