The SmartCap EVOa Adventure is not a fiberglass shell. It is a fully modular, automotive-grade stainless steel truck cap built for extreme on-road and off-road use. With double-walled stainless steel gullwing doors, integrated MOLLE panels, and a Positive Pressure Air Vent to help keep dust out of the bed, the EVOa is designed to take the abuse, then keep going.

Important Vehicle Fitment Notes
2022+ Toyota Tundra Owners: Bed Stiffeners (J-Braces) are required when installing a SmartCap or any bed rail-mounted accessory on the 2022+ Toyota Tundra. Failure to install bed stiffeners may affect the structural integrity of the truck bed, potentially causing damage to the bed rails, SmartCap mounting system, or SmartCap rear flange welds.
Any damage resulting from the absence of bed stiffeners is not covered under the SmartCap 3-Year Warranty.
SmartCap does not manufacture bed stiffeners; however, Cap-it recommends the CBI Bed Channel Stiffeners for 2022+ Toyota Tundra as a proven solution.
Professional installation is recommended. If you're unsure whether your truck already has bed stiffeners installed, contact your nearest Cap-it location before ordering.
2024+ Ford Ranger Load Box Reinforcement Brackets (J-Braces)
Ford requires that any 2024 Next Generation Ranger produced on or before September 19, 2024, with accessories extending above the bed rails and weighing more than 88 lbs, be fitted with Load Box Reinforcement Brackets (commonly called J-Braces).
These may be purchased through any authorized Ford dealer and must be installed prior to installation of a SmartCap to avoid negatively impacting your vehicle’s factory warranty.
