When an independent front suspension Tacoma is lifted, factory caster and camber adjustment can be pushed beyond the range Toyota originally designed into the truck. That can make achieving proper alignment difficult and compromise steering feel, suspension movement and tyre wear.
The Old Man Emu UCA0005 Upper Control Arm Kit is engineered specifically to correct that problem, restoring usable caster and camber adjustment while providing the strength, clearance and articulation expected from a properly engineered lifted suspension system.
WHY UPGRADE THE UPPER CONTROL ARMS?
Lifting the Truck Is Only Half the Job
The factory Tacoma upper control arms were designed around factory suspension height. Raise the front suspension and the relationship between the chassis, steering knuckle and control arm changes with it.
Old Man Emu engineered the UCA0005 with increased caster and camber correction for a 50 mm (approximately 2") suspension lift, helping bring the alignment adjustment back into an acceptable range.
The result is a suspension system that works together rather than simply sitting taller, with proper alignment capability, increased clearance and improved freedom of movement for upgraded suspension components.

UCA0005 is designed for second and third-generation Toyota Tacoma applications:
- GEN2 Tacoma: 2005-2015
- GEN3 Tacoma: 2016-2023
Have a 2024+ Tacoma? The fourth-generation Tacoma uses the newer Old Man Emu UCA0021 upper control arm. UCA0005 is not the correct application for GEN4 trucks.
Suspension geometry and clearances should be checked during installation, followed by a proper wheel alignment. Vehicles using oversized tyres, aftermarket wheels or additional suspension modifications should also be checked for adequate clearance throughout the suspension and steering range.
