BUILT FOR THE NEW GENERATION OF TOYOTA 4X4s

Old Man Emu Upper Control Arms | Tacoma, Land Cruiser 250, 4Runner & Lexus GX550

A suspension lift changes more than ride height. It changes suspension geometry.

The latest Toyota Tacoma, Land Cruiser 250, 4Runner and Lexus GX550 are exceptionally capable platforms, but lifting an independent front suspension vehicle changes the relationship between the chassis, steering knuckle and factory upper control arm. Caster and camber adjustment can be pushed outside the range Toyota originally designed into the vehicle.

Old Man Emu upper control arms are engineered to help restore usable suspension geometry while providing the strength, clearance and articulation expected from a properly engineered lifted suspension system. ARB has now transitioned the Tacoma and Land Cruiser application from UCA0021 to the new UCA0037, while expanding fitment to include the 2025+ 4Runner.

UCA0021 → UCA0037

ARB Has Updated the Part Number

UCA0037 is ARB's current upper control arm for the 2024+ Toyota Tacoma and Land Cruiser 250, and it adds fitment for the 2025+ Toyota 4Runner.

We still have limited inventory of the previous UCA0021. ARB originally specified UCA0021 for the Tacoma, Land Cruiser 250 and Lexus GX550, and our remaining units are being offered at a clearance price while quantities last.

UCA0021 Clearance: $845 CAD SAVE $175

UCA0037 Current Version: $1,020 CAD

There is no known performance or quality issue with UCA0021. The discount reflects the part-number transition, not a downgrade in quality.

WHY UPGRADE THE UPPER CONTROL ARMS?

Lifting the Vehicle Is Only Half the Job

Factory upper control arms are engineered around factory suspension height. Raise the front suspension and the operating angle of the upper control arm changes with it, affecting alignment geometry and the way the suspension moves through its travel.

Old Man Emu engineered these upper control arms specifically for lifted applications, helping restore usable caster and camber adjustment while providing the additional clearance and suspension movement required by a properly upgraded suspension system.

The objective isn't simply to make the vehicle sit higher. It's to build a suspension system in which the shocks, springs, control arms and alignment geometry continue to work together.

Engineered as Part of the Suspension System

Corrected Suspension Geometry

Designed to help restore usable caster and camber adjustment after lifting the vehicle, allowing proper alignment of the upgraded suspension.

Heavy-Duty Construction

Tubular steel control arms incorporate forged ball joint housings and eyelets to provide strength where suspension loads are concentrated.

GIIRO® Bushings

Free-pivoting, grease-free and maintenance-free bushings allow smooth control-arm movement without routine lubrication.

Heavy-Duty Ball Joint

A heavy-duty ball joint is protected by a sealing cap for durability in demanding road, trail and Canadian winter conditions.

Improved Clearance & Travel

The upgraded control-arm design helps provide the clearance and freedom of movement required by compatible lifted suspension systems.

Designed for OME Suspension

Engineered to complement Old Man Emu suspension systems, including compatible MT64 and BP-51 applications, rather than treating the control arm as an isolated component.

THE REAL-WORLD DIFFERENCE

Build the Suspension to Drive Properly, Not Just Sit Higher

A Tacoma, Land Cruiser, 4Runner or GX550 built for adventure still spends plenty of time on pavement. Steering response, alignment, tyre wear and predictable handling matter on the highway just as much as suspension travel and clearance matter once the pavement ends.

That's why upper control arms make sense as part of a properly engineered suspension build. The objective isn't simply more clearance. It's getting the suspension geometry back where it belongs so the upgraded system can perform the way it was intended.

VEHICLE FITMENT

Choose the Correct Part Number

UCA0037 is ARB's current part number for:

  • Toyota Tacoma: 2024+
  • Toyota Land Cruiser: 250 Series / 2024+
  • Toyota 4Runner: 2025+

UCA0021 is the previous part number and remains a confirmed application for:

  • Toyota Tacoma: 2024+
  • Toyota Land Cruiser: 250 Series / 2024+
  • Lexus GX: GX550 / 2024+

For Tacoma and Land Cruiser owners, either variant fits the applicable vehicle. Choose UCA0021 if you want to take advantage of the clearance price while inventory remains, or choose UCA0037 for ARB's current part number.

Important for GX550 owners: GX550 fitment is confirmed for UCA0021. We are not currently listing UCA0037 as a GX550 application.

Professional alignment required after installation.

Suspension geometry and clearances should be checked during installation, followed by a proper wheel alignment. Vehicles using oversized tyres, aftermarket wheels or additional suspension modifications should also be checked for adequate clearance throughout the suspension and steering range.

THE CAP-IT TAKE

If You're Building the Suspension, Finish the Suspension.

The new Tacoma, Land Cruiser, 4Runner and GX550 are excellent platforms for a proper adventure build, and it's easy to focus the suspension budget entirely on shocks and springs. But once an independent front suspension vehicle is lifted, geometry becomes part of the equation.

That's particularly important on vehicles being built for real-world use. These aren't dedicated competition trucks. They're vehicles that may spend hours on the highway before reaching the trail, carrying passengers, camping equipment and everything else that comes with an adventure build.

For Tacoma and Land Cruiser owners, the remaining UCA0021 inventory is a simple opportunity to get the correct OME upper control arm for $175 less while our final units last.

For the 2025+ 4Runner, or once the remaining Tacoma and Land Cruiser UCA0021 inventory is gone, UCA0037 is ARB's current part number.
