The Dakar rear leaf packs are designed to improve load support, suspension control and ride characteristics while providing additional rear ride height.
That makes choosing the correct spring important. A lightly equipped Tacoma and an overland Tacoma carrying a canopy, drawer system, recovery gear and camping equipment do not place the same demands on the rear suspension.

Medium Load
The better choice for Tacomas without substantial permanent rear weight.
Ideal when you want the benefits of an OME rear suspension upgrade without selecting a spring intended to support a significant constant load.
EL112R
Heavy Load, 660 lb Constant
Designed for Tacomas carrying approximately 660 lb of constant rear load.
Think permanently installed equipment such as a heavier truck canopy, drawer system, overlanding equipment, tools or other gear that remains in the truck rather than occasional payload.
Don't choose the EL112R simply because you occasionally put 660 lb in the bed. Heavy-load springs are intended for vehicles carrying substantial additional weight on a regular basis. Choosing the spring that matches your Tacoma's normal operating weight is important for ride quality and suspension performance.

Does this kit include both rear leaf springs?
Yes. One kit includes two matching OME rear leaf springs, one for each side of the Tacoma.
Are bushings included?
Yes. The kit includes two OMESB108 polyurethane bushing kits, providing eight bushings and four sleeves in total.
Are new U-bolts included?
Yes. Four OMEU53B rear U-bolts with hardware are included.
What is the difference between EL111R and EL112R?
EL111R is the Medium Load option. EL112R is the Heavy Load option designed for approximately 660 lb of constant rear load.
Should I choose EL112R if I occasionally carry heavy cargo?
Not necessarily. The Heavy Load spring is intended for substantial constant weight that normally remains on the vehicle. Occasional payload alone does not necessarily mean the Heavy Load spring is the right choice.
Will this kit fit a 2024 or newer Tacoma?
No. This kit is for 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma models. The redesigned 2024+ Tacoma uses a different suspension application.
How much lift does this kit provide?
Approximately 2.75 inches on 2005-2015 Tacoma models and approximately 2 inches on 2016-2023 models. Actual resulting ride height varies with vehicle configuration, accessories, existing suspension and load.
