When replacing or upgrading the front struts on an independent front suspension vehicle, the original upper strut mounts, rubber isolators and bushings are often reused. That means installing brand-new suspension components while retaining wear components that may already have years of kilometres, weather and compression behind them.
The Old Man Emu OMETH002 Strut Top Hat Kit provides the components required to replace the original upper strut mount assembly with a complete, bolt-in solution manufactured to original equipment specifications.

The strut top hat connects the front strut assembly to the vehicle and incorporates several components that can wear, compress and deteriorate over time.
Reusing the original top hat may save a few components during installation, but it also means transferring old mounting hardware and rubber components onto a new suspension assembly.
The OMETH002 gives you a complete replacement solution so the new strut assembly can be built with fresh upper mounting components before it goes back into the vehicle.

Bearing Plate
Replacement bearing plate with bonded lower rubber bushing provides the foundation of the upper strut mounting assembly.
High-Durometer Isolator
A replacement rubber isolator helps properly locate and isolate the spring within the upper strut assembly.
Replacement Bushings
Bonded rubber bushings replace the original components rather than requiring worn factory pieces to be transferred to the new suspension.
New Mounting Hardware
Washers and mounting nuts are supplied as part of the kit for a clean, complete installation.
