The WaterPORT Weekender is the largest pressurized water tank in the WaterPORT lineup, carrying eight gallons of fresh water for camp showers, outdoor kitchens, family camping and longer trips away from reliable facilities.
Fill and pressurize the tank from a standard garden hose before leaving home, or restore pressure on the road through the integrated Schrader valve using a bike pump or regulated air compressor. An optional WaterPORT Pump Cap provides another convenient way to add pressure manually.
Its long, low-profile design mounts securely to compatible platform racks and crossbar systems, giving larger groups and extended travellers the water capacity they need without requiring an electric pump.

Does the Weekender require electricity?
No. The Weekender can be pressurized from a garden hose or through its Schrader valve using a bike pump or regulated air compressor. No batteries, wiring or electric water pump are required.
Does the Weekender include a mount?
Yes. It includes two flat mounting plates and hardware suitable for many platform-style roof racks. Crossbar, bed-rack undermount and trailer hitch installations may require additional WaterPORT mounting components.
Can it mount to ordinary roof crossbars?
Yes, with the optional WaterPORT Cross Bar Linkage Mount. These linkage brackets connect the included flat mounting plates to many compatible crossbar systems.
Can the Weekender be mounted on its side?
Yes. It may be mounted on its side as long as the water outlet remains positioned on the lower side. It should not be installed upside down unless using a mounting solution specifically designed for that orientation.
How does the Weekender pressurize?
It self-pressurizes when filled through the included garden hose regulator. Pressure can also be restored through the Schrader valve or with the optional WaterPORT Pump Cap.
How long can the tank hold pressure?
WaterPORT states that the Weekender may retain pressure for up to three months when properly sealed and left unused. Temperature, elevation and storage conditions may affect pressure retention.
Can it carry drinking water?
Yes. The tank is made from food-grade, BPA-free polyethylene and is suitable for potable water when properly cleaned and maintained.
How much does it weigh when full?
The Weekender weighs approximately 91 lb when filled. Always confirm that your rack, crossbars, receiver and mounting surface can safely support the tank's complete loaded weight.
Can I add ice?
Yes. The large fill opening allows ice to be added for cooler rinse water during hot-weather camping, beach trips and outdoor activities.
How should I store the tank?
Rinse the tank with soap and clean water after use, drain it completely and leave the large cap off so the interior can dry before storage.
Can I leave it mounted during winter?
The tank, hose and fittings should be completely drained before freezing conditions. Water left inside may freeze, expand and damage the system.
