Technical specifications & load limits
350 lb (159 kg) maximum swing-arm load. This is the weight carried on the arm, including racks, bikes, cargo and accessories. For an approved vertical bike rack configuration, the manufacturer rates the bike payload up to 150 lb (68 kg), excluding rack weight; the total arm load still applies. HitchingPost vertical gear is limited to 100 lb (45 kg), subject to the attached components. Always follow the lowest-rated component.
Swing direction: left or right. Locking open positions: 90° and 120° (check vehicle and accessory clearance at each position). Carrier weight: 74 lb (33.6 kg), not packaged shipping weight. Closed pivot width: 27" hitch-pin centre to pivot centre. Finish: zinc-rich primer and semi-gloss black powder coat.
Not tow rated. RiG’d recommends a suitable 1/2" locking hitch pin. Hitch pin, rack and other accessories are not assumed to be included unless specified. Vehicle tongue capacity and rear-clearance limits still apply.
FlipFlop™, Wobble-Free™ and built-in hardware
FlipFlop lets you install the arm to open from either side. RiG’d's wedge hitch connection limits unwanted movement; the in-line arm uses Delrin glide plates for controlled pivoting. A compression latch with ergonomic grip and a grippy integrated step complete the package.
RambleSwing or RambleSwing® Pro?
The original RambleSwing has shorter geometry suited to vehicles such as Wrangler and Bronco with rear-door-mounted spare tires. RambleSwing® Pro is wider and has greater modular-gear compatibility. For a spare-tire-first carrier with a tow-rated lower receiver, compare UltraSwing.
