BUILT TO RAMBLE™
RAMBLESWING® PRO SPARE TIRE KIT
BRING THE SPARE.
OPEN THE BACK.
One complete swing-out system. Your choice of a Centred or Off-Set tire position. The freedom to reach your rear hatch and build out your adventure setup.
Choose your HitchingPost first, then match your receiver fit in the product selectors above. Bike rack and spare wheel/tire sold separately.
CHOOSE YOUR SETUP ↓STEP 1 · CHOOSE YOUR HITCHINGPOST
Where do you want your spare?
Both options work with the RambleSwing Pro carrier and the compatible HitchingPost Tire Mount. The difference is tire positioning, clearance and component limits. Select Off-Set or Centred in the first product option above.
Extra positioning clearance
OFF-SET HITCHINGPOST
Optimized for tires up to 37″. Helps clear larger spares and certain rear-door or bike-rack arrangements.
Post rating: 120 lb. Other components and the vehicle may impose lower limits.
Standard centred position
CENTRED HITCHINGPOST
Optimized for tires up to 35″. RiG'd states it can work with tires up to 37″, subject to the exact wheel and vehicle clearance.
Cap-it's additional complete-system configuration. Verify the Centred post rating and installed loads for your setup.
Tire diameter is not a fitment guarantee. Wheel offset, weight, bumper geometry, hatch clearance and other installed accessories must be considered.
STEP 2 · CONFIRM YOUR RECEIVER FIT
Five ways to fit your vehicle.
Match the receiver opening first, then check hitch-pin position, insertion depth and clearance at the bumper. On mobile, swipe to compare fit options. Vehicle examples are guidance, not a guarantee.
For shorter receiver insertion geometry on compatible vehicles.
For most compatible standard-length 2″ receivers.
For compatible 2.5″ truck receivers.
For compatible 3″ heavy-duty receivers.
For select recessed 2″ receiver applications.
STEP 3 · KNOW WHAT IS INCLUDED
A complete carrier, not just the swing arm.
YOUR SELECTED CONFIGURATION INCLUDES:
- RambleSwing Pro swing-out carrier in your selected receiver fit
- One Centred or Off-Set HitchingPost, as selected
- One HitchingPost Tire Mount, compatible with supported 4-, 5-, 6- and 8-lug wheels
Wheel and tire, bike rack, camp tables, fuel/water equipment and other accessories are sold separately.
Every configuration is a Cap-it-built kit assembled for your order from three genuine RiG'd components: the selected RambleSwing Pro carrier, your choice of Centred or Off-Set HitchingPost, and the HitchingPost Tire Mount. Choose your complete setup here; individual components are drawn from shared inventory.
STEP 4 · CHECK LOADS AND RESTRICTIONS
Know the limits before you load.
These are separate limits, not additive capacities. The lowest applicable component or vehicle rating governs. Check tire-and-wheel mass, wheel offset, bike rack, accessories, post style and your hitch capacity together. Confirm the Centred HitchingPost's current rating for its actual use.
RambleSwing Pro does not permit trailer towing. Need a tire-centred carrier with a tow-rated lower receiver?
COMPARE ULTRASWING →STEP 5 · COMPLETE THE ADVENTURE
The spare is only the beginning.
The spare swings aside with your system to restore access to the rear hatch. RambleSwing Pro's FlipFlop mechanism can be configured to open left or right, with locked-open positions at 90° and 120°. Add a suitable bike rack or camp gear only after checking clearance, mounting requirements and every load limit.
Questions before you order?
Can either HitchingPost carry a spare?
Yes, with the separately specified Tire Mount included in this complete system. Tire positioning, post ratings and vehicle clearance differ between the two options.
Do I need to buy the Tire Mount separately?
Not when ordering this complete kit. It is included. The HitchingPost and Tire Mount are also offered separately for customers who already own RambleSwing Pro.
Can I carry bikes behind the spare tire?
Potentially, with a compatible hitch-mounted rack and appropriate clearance. The bike rack is not included. Verify installed loads and mounting clearances before selecting a rack.
Does my vehicle model determine the correct fit?
Not by itself. Confirm the receiver dimensions, hitch-pin position and bumper and rear-door clearance, especially with aftermarket equipment.
