The Planar Portable 2D provides dry diesel-fired heat without requiring a permanent installation, so the heater can move between your tent, vehicle, camper or other compatible shelter.

Use Your Planar Heater Safely

The heater and combustion exhaust must remain outside the occupied sleeping or living space. Route only the heated-air duct into the tent. Always follow Planar operating instructions, maintain required clearances and ventilation, and use a carbon monoxide detector when operating combustion heating equipment around an occupied shelter.

Can I buy the rooftop tent without the Planar heater?

Yes. Each Alu-Cab rooftop tent remains available separately at its regular individual price. The promotional savings shown here apply to the complete tent and Planar heater bundle.

Can I choose the Planar heater colour?

Yes. Choose Yellow or Military Green when configuring the package, subject to availability.

Does the Planar heater go inside the rooftop tent?

No. The heater and combustion exhaust remain outside. Only the heated-air duct is routed into the tent through the dedicated heater inlet.

Why use a 2kW heater for a rooftop tent?

For most rooftop tents, the Planar 2D's lower minimum output and lower fuel and electrical consumption make it a better match for the relatively compact sleeping space than simply choosing a larger heater.

Can I use the Planar heater for something else?

Yes. One advantage of the portable system is that it can move between compatible rooftop tents, campers, vehicles and shelters rather than being permanently dedicated to one installation.
