Turn your compatible premium Thule bike rack into 260 litres of low-mounted cargo space.

The Thule Santu is a hard-shell rear cargo box designed to mount directly onto selected Thule bike carriers instead of requiring its own dedicated hitch platform.

That puts 260 litres of secure cargo storage at a comfortable loading height, keeps your roof available for additional gear and lets you use the bike rack's tilt functionality for easier rear vehicle access.

On a compatible 3-bike Thule Epos, you can even carry the Santu and one bike at the same time.

IMPORTANT BEFORE YOU ORDER

The Santu Requires a Compatible Thule Bike Rack.

The Thule Santu does not mount directly into your vehicle's hitch receiver.

A compatible Thule bike rack is required as the mounting platform.

Compatible rack families include Thule Epos, Thule EasyFold XT and compatible Thule EasyFold 3 configurations. Additional mounting hardware may be required depending on the rack.

CARGO DOWN LOW

Keep the Roof Free and Put the Gear Where It's Easier to Reach.

Roof boxes are extremely useful, but every bag still needs to be lifted above shoulder height.

Santu moves that storage to the rear of the vehicle. The low-mounted design makes loading coolers, duffels, camp gear and other bulky equipment substantially easier while leaving your roof available for kayaks, skis, additional cargo or nothing at all.

If you already own a compatible premium Thule bike rack, Santu gives that investment another job.

Epos 3 Gives You Cargo and a Bike.

The 3-bike Thule Epos is the most versatile Santu platform because the cargo carrier can occupy part of the rack while leaving one position available for a bike.

That means you don't necessarily have to choose between extra cargo and bringing a bike along.

ALREADY OWN AN EASYFOLD XT?

You'll Need the Santu EasyFold XT Kit.

The Santu is compatible with the Thule EasyFold XT, but Thule requires a separate mounting kit to connect the cargo carrier to that rack.

Do not order the Santu for an EasyFold XT without confirming that you also have the required mounting kit.

VEHICLE FITMENT

Check the Complete Installed Width.

Thule recommends that the width of the cargo carrier does not extend beyond the outer edges of the vehicle.

Rear clearance also depends on the bike-rack platform and vehicle. The rack's tilt function is used to create additional trunk or hatch access.

If you're not certain about vehicle width, hitch rating, rear clearance or the correct bike-rack platform, talk to Cap-it before ordering.

The smartest thing about the Santu is also the thing customers need to understand before buying it: it isn't a standalone hitch carrier.

If you already own a compatible Epos or EasyFold platform, that's exactly what makes Santu interesting. Instead of buying another complete hitch-mounted system, you can turn equipment you already own into a 260-litre cargo carrier.

The low loading height is a real advantage over a roof box, and the 3-bike Epos configuration is especially clever because it can give you cargo and one bike at the same time.

If you're starting from scratch and only need cargo, we'd first make sure a bike-rack-based system actually makes sense. If you already own the compatible rack, the Santu becomes a much more compelling upgrade.
