Once bikes get heavier, loading becomes part of the buying decision. Lifting a 50 or 60 lb e-bike onto a conventional platform rack is very different from loading a lightweight road bike.
That's where the EasyFold XT earns its name. The included ramp lets you roll the bike onto the carrier, while detachable bike arms make it easier to secure different frame shapes once the bike is in position.

Integrated Loading Ramp
Roll heavier bikes onto the carrier rather than lifting them into place. The foldable ramp is included and stores directly in the EasyFold XT when you're on the road.
65 lb Per Bike
A 130 lb total load capacity allows the EasyFold XT to carry two bikes weighing up to 65 lb each, making it a strong match for many e-bikes and heavier mountain bikes.
Fully Foldable

Wheels + Carrying Handle

Detachable frame arms use Thule AcuTight torque-limiter knobs that click when appropriate clamping torque is reached. Bike and receiver locks are included.

The EasyFold XT fits both 1.25" and 2" hitch receivers, but hitch size is only part of the compatibility check.
Each bike can weigh up to 65 lb, with a maximum combined load of 130 lb. Standard wheel straps accommodate tires up to 3 inches wide, wheel sizes from 16" to 29", and bikes with wheelbases up to 1300 mm.
Fat-bike tires up to 4.7 inches can be accommodated with the optional Thule XXL Fatbike Wheel Straps.
Carbon-frame bikes require the Thule Carbon Frame Protector.
Frame geometry, fenders and other bike-specific equipment can also affect how a bike mounts. If you're not certain about your bikes, hitch or vehicle, talk to Cap-it before ordering and we'll help evaluate the complete setup.

THE CAP-IT TAKE
If Your Bikes Are Heavy, the Ramp Is the Reason to Buy This Rack.
The EasyFold XT isn't the least expensive way to carry two bikes, and that's not why we'd recommend it.
What you're paying for is how easy the complete system is to live with. Instead of dead-lifting a heavy e-bike onto the rack, roll it into position. When you need access to the back of the vehicle, tilt the rack with the bikes still loaded. When the trip is over, fold the carrier and roll it back into the garage.
There is one important trade-off to understand: the EasyFold XT secures bikes using frame-contact arms. If avoiding frame contact entirely is your priority, another style of platform rack may be a better fit. Carbon-frame bikes require the appropriate Thule Carbon Frame Protector.
For riders with heavier e-bikes who value easy loading, compact storage and premium everyday usability, the EasyFold XT is a very complete package.
