Light enough for everyday builds

At approximately 43 kg (95 lb) including the ladder, the Lite Cruiser is one of the lighter tents in the Wild Land range. Its fold-out design and compact closed footprint suit many properly equipped SUVs, crossovers, wagons and 4x4s, and some sedans.
Lower weight does not replace a fitment check. Roof, rack, mounting hardware and load limits still govern your installation.
Long sleeping platform, simple comfort

The approximately 230 x 122 cm sleeping platform gives taller campers length without a much larger tent. A 3 cm high-density foam mattress and thermal cover are included.
Large side and rear windows, mesh insect screens, a detachable dimmable LED strip and an included inflatable air pillow complete the interior.
Weather-ready materials

The silver-coated 210D rip-stop Oxford fly is rated PU3000 mm and UPF50+. The inner tent uses 600D rip-stop Oxford, with a 210D Oxford floor and 600D PVC-coated travel cover.
An aluminium frame and telescopic ladder keep the package practical. Open, dry and air the tent after wet-weather use and before long-term storage.
Cap-it take: easy to live with
The Lite Cruiser is an approachable first rooftop tent because it stays light, compact and straightforward. For one or two campers using a daily-driven vehicle, it avoids much of the weight and cost of a larger hard-shell or family system.

Vehicle fitment, installation & delivery
The complete mounting system matters: vehicle roof capacity, crossbars, towers, rack platform, hardware and total dynamic load. Confirm mounting width and crossbar spacing before installation, then recheck mounting hardware after initial use.
Measure total installed height, including the rack, tent and ladder position, if garage clearance is limited. Some sedans and crossovers may work with an appropriately rated system; vehicle type alone does not establish compatibility.
Product selection, fitment help and product support are available in-store or online. Visit a Cap-it location or email shop@capit.com with your vehicle year, make, model and rack details. Participating locations can quote installation separately.
Shipping is prepaid across Canada on orders over $200, including rooftop tents. Exceptions apply to select rural destinations. See our shipping policy or contact us with your postal code to check a rural delivery.
Owner feedback & our two-tent Tacoma
What owners have said
“Produit de qualité. Spacieuse pour 2 adultes.” Jacinte, Québec
“opens easily and very well designed/constructed.” Michael MacNeil
“works great, awesome value!” Verified Cap-it customer
Worth knowing: one owner noted that closing the tent solo can be difficult, and another wanted additional mattress padding. Consider how you will pack the tent and your own comfort preferences.
Two tents. Four campers. One truck.
Cap-it's Tacoma has been fitted with two Lite Cruiser 120XL Pro tents, creating separate sleeping spaces for up to four campers. This is a specific build example, not a universal fitment recommendation.
Any dual-tent setup depends on vehicle and rack ratings, available space, tent orientation and the total combined load. Have Cap-it review the complete system before installation.
Lite Cruiser 120XL Pro FAQs
Who is this tent best suited for?
Couples, solo travellers, first-time rooftop-tent owners and campers seeking a lightweight tent for a properly equipped everyday vehicle.
Can it mount on a sedan or crossover?
In some cases. Vehicle roof capacity, rack ratings, mounting space and hardware compatibility must be confirmed first.
Can I use two on one vehicle?
Some vehicles and racks may support a dual-tent build, depending on load ratings, rack configuration, orientation and combined weight. It requires a complete fitment review.
How does it compare with a hard-shell tent?
The Lite Cruiser prioritizes lower weight, compact packing and accessible pricing. Compare individual hard-shell models for setup method, packed profile, weight and cost rather than assuming all designs perform the same way.
Are the mattress and ladder included?
Yes. A 3 cm high-density foam mattress and telescopic aluminium ladder are included.
Can I leave it installed through camping season?
Many customers do. Open, dry and air it regularly, especially after wet-weather use. Dry it fully before long-term storage and inspect periodically for trapped moisture.
Is professional installation required?
It is recommended rather than mandatory. Proper fitment and mounting still need to be confirmed, whether you install the tent yourself or use a participating Cap-it location.
