Load Rating and Structural Upgrade Options
The ARB Ascent canopy is engineered for serious rooftop performance when equipped with the proper structural support. To safely carry rooftop tents, racks, or gear, the canopy must be paired with one of the load-rated roof systems below.
Load Ratings (when equipped):
- Dynamic Load Rating: 220 lb (100 kg)
- Static Load Rating: 770 to 880 lb (350 to 400 kg)

Availability in Canada
The ARB Ascent Canopy for the 2024+ Toyota Tacoma is now available in Canada. These are fully optioned units, professionally crated and imported directly into Canada by Cap-it, with limited availability ahead of broader market release.
A limited range of colours may be available at launch. All Toyota factory paint colours can be accommodated by special order, paint code and lead time will be confirmed at time of order.
Custom Paint, Colour Matched
Every ARB Ascent canopy is factory-painted to match your vehicle’s OEM colour using Toyota’s factory paint codes. Please note that some slight colour variation is normal when comparing a newly painted aftermarket canopy to your factory-finished truck.
Why does this happen?
Paint can appear differently depending on:
- Application method (robotic versus manual spraying)
- Substrate (ABS plastic versus metal)
- Age, UV exposure, and environmental wear of the truck’s paint
- Factory tolerances in OEM paint batches
ARB applies a high-quality, colour-matched paint finish with a clear coat, and all canopies are professionally painted and cured. While a perfect match is the goal, an acceptable range of variance is standard industry-wide, especially when panels are viewed side by side under certain lighting conditions.
Where to find your paint code:
Your Toyota Tacoma’s paint code is listed on the driver-side door jamb, printed on the OEM Vehicle Information Label. It’s usually a three-digit code (for example, 8W7 or 040).
