For a work truck, expedition build or daily driver carrying expensive equipment, visibility into the truck bed is not always an advantage. Explorer Guard uses solid aluminum access doors on both sides and at the rear, keeping cargo concealed while still providing fast access from three directions.
Six flush-mounted, key-alike locks secure the three access doors. That means one key operates the locking system while two locking points on each door help keep the large openings securely closed.

Explorer Guard arrives as a fully welded aluminum canopy. The structural body and door openings are already manufactured into a finished unit before it reaches Cap-it.
There is no structural flat-pack canopy assembly required before installation. The canopy is fitted to the truck using Alu-Cab's vehicle-specific mounting system.

Security does not have to mean sacrificing usability. Large gullwing doors on both sides put gear throughout the bed within reach, while the rear door provides direct access through the tailgate.

A Note About Pickup-Bed Sealing
No pickup canopy can make the truck bed itself waterproof. Factory tailgates, bed seams and other openings may still allow water or dust to enter. Cap-it can assess your truck during installation and recommend additional bed or tailgate sealing where appropriate.
