Important Fitment Notes
2022+ Toyota Tundra: Bed stiffeners (J-braces) are required when fitting a SmartCap or other bed-rail-mounted accessories. Damage associated with missing stiffeners is not covered by the SmartCap warranty. SmartCap does not manufacture the stiffeners; Cap-it recommends CBI Bed Channel Stiffeners.
2024 Ford Ranger: Trucks built on or before September 19, 2024 may require Ford Load Box Reinforcement Brackets (J-braces) when carrying accessories above the bed rails weighing more than 88 lb. Confirm the requirement with Ford for your truck. Ford part numbers: VN1WZ2627726A (most trims) and VN1WZ26277236B (Ranger Raptor).
