Unlike numerous aftermarket suspension systems, which are only available in a single configuration targeting lift height, Old Man Emu offers a range of tuned and matched integrated suspension systems to ensure the right suspension is available to suit how the vehicle is outfitted and the conditions it will encounter.
Design and Development
Initial evaluation of the GEN3 2016-2023 Tacoma was that the vehicle provided a balanced, compliant ride that gave the OME engineers a good platform for developing a range of suspension solutions. Consideration was given to the front geometry to maximize the lift while maintaining optimal levels of droop, down travel and proper alignment
Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Plus
Engineered for both off-road dependability and smooth on-road driving, the Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Plus struts are a testament to advanced suspension technology. Featuring a twin-tube body and a 5-position spring seat adjustment system that caters to different weights and vehicle setups. Vehicle-specific tuning allows the Nitrocharger Plus to minimize body roll and enhance steering response, providing a controlled and comfortable ride whether you're carrying heavy loads, towing, or navigating through tough terrain. These struts offer a customized and responsive driving experience, ensuring optimal performance in various driving conditions.

*A new range of coils (4xxx series) has been developed to suit the adjustable coil seat on the Nitrocharger Plus struts. These new coil springs are not cross-compatible with Nitrocharger Sport struts or OE struts. (Non-coil over applications continue to use the existing range of Old Man Emu coils).

UCA0005 (x1) OME Front Upper Control Arms. The OME Upper Control Arm will provide an increase between +2.5 and +3.5 degrees of caster and up to 1.5 degrees of negative camber increase (figures based off an approximate 50mm lift). Please note after fitment of Upper Control Arm a vehicle wheel alignment will be required.

OMETH002 (x2) OME Strut Top Hat Kit. Strut Top Hat Kit may be required if original equipment it worn. If you're seeking delivery of a pre-assembled strut & coil set for easier installation, a Strut Top Hat kit is required with extra charge for labour.

OME3133 (x2) OME Upper Strut Bushes. Recommended if not purchasing new Strut Top Hat Kit. OE bushes may be re-used if in good condition.

OMEGP9 (x2) OME Greasable Pin Kit. Two (2) Greasable Pin Kits required. One (1) kit for front fixed eye and one (1) kit for shackles pin for leaf spring eye.
