This is one of our favourite features of the new Approach 2.
A factory-integrated port in the side of the tent is specifically designed to accommodate ducting from an external heater or air-conditioning system.
For Canadian shoulder-season and winter camping, pair the Approach 2 S with a properly configured Planar Portable Diesel Air Heater and bring heated air inside while the combustion heater itself remains safely outside.
Always follow the heater manufacturer's requirements for exhaust, ventilation, clearances and duct routing.

A Compact Tent Doesn't Have to Mean a Small Campsite.
This is one of the smartest parts of the Approach 2 S.
The optional Thule Approach Awning 2 S/M creates a large sheltered living area beside the vehicle, giving you significantly more usable space once you've arrived at camp.
Add optional awning walls for additional privacy and weather protection and your compact two-person rooftop tent becomes the sleeping component of a much larger camp system.
The same S/M awning works with both the Approach 2 S and Approach 2 M.
PREMIUM MOUNTING SYSTEM
Faster Installation. Lockable Security.
Thule's premium mounting brackets secure the Approach 2 S to compatible roof racks in roughly half the time of traditional rooftop-tent mounting systems.
The brackets are lockable and include a torque-limiting installation tool to help achieve the correct mounting force.
At 50 kg with a minimum bar spread of 70 cm, the S is the lightest and most compact entry point into the Approach 2 family. Always confirm your vehicle roof and rack system are properly rated and compatible before installation.
