Once open, panoramic windows, a thick 6 cm mattress, an outward-angled entrance and a factory-integrated heater and AC port make the Approach 2 much more than somewhere to spend the night.

This is one of our favourite upgrades to the Approach 2.
A factory-integrated port in the side of the tent is specifically designed to accommodate ducting from an external heater or air-conditioning system.
For Canadian shoulder-season and winter camping, pair the Approach 2 with a properly configured Planar Portable Diesel Air Heater and run heated air into the tent while the combustion heater itself remains safely outside.
Always follow the heater manufacturer's requirements for exhaust, ventilation, clearances and duct routing.

Turn the Tent Into a Basecamp.
The new Approach 2 goes beyond the rooftop tent itself with an optional awning system designed specifically around the tent.
Add the Thule Approach Awning 2 S/M to create a large sheltered living area directly outside the tent, providing protection from both sun and rain while maintaining easy access in and out.
Want more enclosure? Optional awning walls can add privacy and additional weather protection, creating a much more substantial camp setup for longer stays.
The S/M awning is compatible with both the Approach 2 S and Approach 2 M.

The removable rain cover can be configured in three different modes, allowing you to balance weather protection, ventilation and views based on the conditions.

Faster Installation. Lockable Security.
Thule's premium mounting brackets secure the Approach 2 to compatible roof racks in roughly half the time of traditional rooftop-tent mounting systems.
The brackets are lockable and include a torque-limiting installation tool to help achieve the correct mounting force.
