The Approach 2 includes a purpose-built port in the side of the tent for ducting from an external heater or air-conditioning system.
For Canadian shoulder-season and winter trips, pair the tent with a properly configured Planar Portable Diesel Air Heater and bring warm air inside while the combustion heater remains safely outside the tent.
Always follow the heater manufacturer's requirements for exhaust, ventilation, clearances and duct routing.

At 68 kg, the Approach 2 L requires a compatible vehicle and roof-rack system capable of properly supporting the tent and its loads.
Thule's lockable premium mounting brackets are designed to secure the tent in roughly half the installation time of traditional rooftop-tent hardware and include a torque-limiting installation tool.
Thule specifies a minimum crossbar spread of 80 cm. Vehicle roof capacity, rack rating, crossbar compatibility and the complete loaded system must all be considered before installation.
